Something very important happened between the time when Jonah Hill first hosted ‘Saturday Night Live‘ in 2008 and when he did for the second time last night — the 28-year-old was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in ‘Moneyball.’ Although he ultimately lost to Christopher Plummer, apparently the nomination had gone to Hill’s head just a little bit.
This week’s ‘American Idol‘ mentor Mary J. Blige took to the stage tonight to perform her hit ‘Why.’ All class, dressed in a pants suit and some chunky jewelry, the living legend totally killed it. But were the judges into it?
We spend a lot of our lives at work, so it’s always nice when you can find a job that surrounds you with people you like working with — just ask Blake Shelton, whose tenure as a coach on ‘The Voice‘ has sparked a friendship with Adam Levine. Wait, did we say friendship? This is something deeper. Blake and Adam have entered bromance territory.
Katy Perry‘s highly anticipated guest starring role on ‘Raising Hope’ airs tonight! True to her hard-working fashion, Perry’s been promoting the heck out of her appearance on the show. She dished on how she got the gig — and what inspired her, uh, transformative look.
I just started watching 'The Voice' this week, and the first thing I saw was an exchange between Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton. I only needed to hear a few sentences and I was already thinking, 'Who does Christina think she is?'. I know that no one can question Christina's abilities as a vocalist, but it seemed to me that no one was more impressed with her ability than she was.
Just when I was starting to get bored with the American Idol judges saying basically the same thing to each contestant, along comes Jimmy Iovine to tell it like it is. At the peak of Idol's success, I think the charm of the show was hearing from a judge who wasn't afraid to say exactly what was on his (and our) mind. And that's why the show hasn't been the same since Simon left.
I am pretty sure I'm not the only person who didn't watch the Academy Awards last night. The thing is, I'm not really a huge movie person, and when it comes down to it, I just don't care about the awards.
