When it snows it is like my dog sees one giant snow cone. He starts licking his chops ready to stick that furry face right into the fresh white powder. It sounds innocent enough but is eating snow safe for our fur babies?

How did you make out with this weekend's storm?

Have you had enough winter yet? We checked in on some of the official snow totals in Monmouth County after that doozy of a storm this weekend. I posted about Ocean County official totals here too.

How did you do with the big storm? Most of us stayed in all weekend if we could. There are plenty of delays and closings today as well. Take comfort that we will be in the 50's next week so we can watch it all melt...until then, if you are curious like me, we have the official snow totals for Ocean County from The National Weather Service.

So as we woke up this weekend we found ourselves in the midst of a Nor’easter winter storm with blizzard like conditions. Regardless of what you call this event, it is definitely a winter blast from old Jack Frost.

The forecast for a blizzard in South Jersey came true as many parts of our area have a foot of snow on the ground and winds are gusting over 35 MPH in spots.

The snow continues to fall, winds are picking up and roads are nearly impossible to navigate to start the day on Saturday as a Blizzard barrels its way across the state of New Jersey.

Sure, there are the necessary provisions: bread, eggs, and milk. Before a snowstorms those shelves are always empty. But, when South Jersey gets snowed in, snacks are a MUST. Here's what you want, what you really, really want.

Looks like we may be snowed in this weekend here in Ocean, Burlington, and Monmouth Counties...so now is the time to get prepared and get those snacks ready to go!
