Cheesequake Service Area to Stop Selling Gas

Heading north? Make sure you gas up before you hit the Parkway, or starting October 1, you could find yourself in a bind.

The Cheesequake Service Area will stop selling gas for five weeks starting on Monday as they begin a renovation project.

The rest stop, north of exit 120 in Sayreville, will upgrade pipes, dispensers, and asphalt, among other things.

The next closest rest stop in our area is the Monmouth Service Area, north of exit 98 in Wall.

Local residents who pick up the GSP northbound after exit 100 are advised to plan accordingly.
