During the Point Pleasant Halloween Parade, which took place yesterday along Bridge Ave., a six year old child was struck by a float while walking along the parade route.

The injured boy, a six year old from Point Pleasant, was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center. No additional information was available on the boy's condition, according to Point Pleasant Patch.

The boy was walking with his mother along the parade route when the incident occurred, and according to nj1015.com, he was struck by the wheel of a trailer being used as a float. The investigation  is still ongoing.
