The State of New Jersey may be closed, but the creative minds of the Internet are very much open for business. And once images of Governor Chris Christie lounging on one of the very State beaches he shut down went public, it became a field day.


The 10-mile stretch of Island Beach State Park was off limits to everyone but Chris Christie and his guests at the gubernatorial beach house. Understandably, this angered the many who hit the Shore for the Fourth of July weekend. Christie was very, well, Christie when talking to the press about his decision to still use the residence. Saying things like "I don't know if it's fair," and telling one reporter "Run for Governor and you can have a residence there." This flew over the beach is Lavallette Sunday afternoon.
