Chris Christie Will Visit the Jersey Shore Friday

It's still too soon to order evacuations in anticipation of Hurricane Joaquin, but Governor Chris Christie will be in our area Friday to monitor the situation. 

The governor is expected to travel to the emergency operations center at the Ocean County Office of Emergency Management at Robert J. Miller Airpark in Berkeley at 2:30 p.m.

Belmar Mayor Matt Doherty confirmed that Christie would speak at the Belmar First Aid Squad at 9th Avenue about 4 p.m. Friday.
