If somebody told me a year ago that I would be posing for photos wearing an Olympic gold medal around my neck, it would have shocked me. And yet it happened. Dreams do come true! The only problem is it wasn't mine.

I'm sure you figured out by now that the gold medal around my neck was the one earned by U.S. Women's Soccer team captain, the Jersey shore's own Christie Rampone. She brought it there Friday and showed it of in front of a packed house.

I was honored to be asked to host the interview live at Kerr Atrium, and as usual, Christis was a pleasure to talk to and was a true inspiration to all the kids (and adults) in attendance. She talked about her experiences at the 2012 Summer Games and gave some insight into the emotions that she felt during her incredible journey to the gold.

Thank you to everyone who came out to Jersey Shore University Medical Center to help make this event a huge success! Also thank you to the amazing staff at Jersey Shore for all they do, and of course, thank you Christie for sharing your success, inspiration and gold medal with us!
