Prom season is right around the corner, and it's never too early to get a look at this season's trends, especially when it also benefits a great local charity.

Cinderella's Closet is a Monmouth County-based 501(c)3 non-profit that provides prom wear to the less fortunate in the community in exchange for a suggested $20 donation.

They provide everything from prom gowns and tuxedos to shoes and accessories to even make-up services for the big night.

They accept both monetary donations, and clothing/accessory donations from the public to complete their mission.

Coming up tonight from 7-10 p.m. at Jumping Brook Country Club in Neptune, Cinderella's Closet will host a prom fashion show to show off this year's prom trends. More importantly, this event is their biggest fundraising event of the year, and it's all run by high school students.

There will be a tricky tray/Chinese auction, with proceeds going to this year's prom boutique for local students in need.

Additionally, there's plenty of entertainment, and the popular "Project Runway Challenge," which allows high school students to design and sew a fully wearable prom dress from scratch for the chance to win prizes.

Tickets are $30 in advance, and can be purchased by calling Dianne Baccala at 732-303-8978. No tickets will be available at the door.
