Our Point Pet of the Week had to be given up by her family.

Cleo is a sweet 6-year-old Shepherd/hound mix who lived in a home most of her life. But then her family had a baby who became allergic so they had to put Cleo up for adoption at the Monmouth County SPCA. They call her one of their "Gold Star Dogs" and she'll get six weeks of training and more to help you when you adopt her...not that she needs it! So don't overlook her!

Cleo's favorite thing to do is play catch! We hope that Cleo will steal your heart and that you will take her home. She even loves car rides. And she smiles a lot : ) She'll keep you safe, too, in case you need an in-home alarm system...she will let you know when someone comes to your door!

The Monmouth County SPCA is open for adoption Monday - Friday 1:00 - 5:00; Saturday and Sunday Noon - 5:00 pm. They are located at 260 Wall Street in Eatontown.

For more information, go to www.monmouthcountyspca.org or call 732-542-0040.

You can also adopt a pet at the MCSPCA's Homeward Bound Adoption Center inside Freehold Raceway mall Thursdays through Sundays during mall hours.
