Live music for the parade will be provided by NJ's own Gypsy Funk Squad, the party band that plays a fusion of classic belly dance songs with revamped rock/pop/dance tunes and original psychedelic surprises thrown in...belly style!

The Promenade of Mermaids begins on the Asbury Park boardwalk across from the Stone Pony and the costumed parade will proceed north along the boards, marching to Convention hall before turning around and returning to the base tent. That's where the judges will announce the prizes for best costumes.
