Congrats to this Red Bank Veterinary Nurse!
The American Humane Hero Dog Awards Ceremony was televised nationally last night...and this woman won an important award.
Out of thousands of nominations, Tammy Boland was chosen to take home a very special award last night. Hope you got to see it live on TV.
Nominated by Red Bank Veterinary Hospital, Tammy, who works there, took home the Hero Veterinary Nurse Award in a black-tie, celebrity-filled, red carpet awards ceremony from L.A.(same place as the Golden Globes!) that was shown on the Hallmark Channel last night.
Tammy says the most important things in her life are family, her job at RBVH, and her rescue work.
You see, not only does Tammy save the lives of sick dogs at the vet hospital, but she is co-founder of a very special non-profit animal rescue called Pick Your Paw, which will soon open at Freehold Raceway Mall.
Her co-founding partner, Heathre Goldberg, says Tammy came up with the slogan "Rescue-Adopt-Repeat", and that is their mantra as they work really hard to save the lives of animals who might otherwise not have the chance of finding a loving home.
Congrats to Tammy, and congrats to both Tammy and Heather on their soon-to-come new adoption center at Freehold Mall. We hope to have you both on our morning show soon!
And a big THANK YOU for all of the doggie lives you are saving!
