During an annual motorcycle ride yesterday in New York City, a group of bikers got into an altercation with an SUV, which eventually ran over several bikers, all caught on tape.

The video is causing a lot of controversy, and you won't believe the reason why.

A black Range Rover ran over a group of bikers in New York City during an annual street ride. After running over multiple people at the :50 second mark, he takes off only to run over another person at the 5:00 minute mark. There is no excuse for this driver using his vehicle as a deadly weapon.'

Watching just those moments of the video, you think the driver of the SUV is a raging lunatic that must be stopped!

After watching the full video, you realize that information is misleading at best.

The video, taken from the helmet cam of the one of the bikers, shows the group somewhat recklessly taking over the road, which was not closed to the public.

At around the :25 mark, you see one of the bikes come to a near stop for seemingly no reason, with the video showing the black Range Rover appearing to hit the biker.

The person filming continues on, then stops, and turns to face the scene, where at around :45 you see the SUV come through the crowd of stopped bikers, running over several of them, before speeding off.

The bikers then proceed to chase the SUV, and when it gets stuck in traffic at around the 5 minute mark, a biker aggressively runs toward the SUV, and tries to open its door. The Range Rover then speeds off again, hitting another biker.

Towards the end of the video, you see the SUV get caught up in traffic, with bikers attacking the truck, trying to shatter the windows with helmets and fists.

The Daily Mail reports the driver was a man in his 30s, his wife was in the front passenger seat, and their child, under age 5, was in the backseat.

The man was taken to the hospital and 'treated for lacerations to his face and body.'

An NYPD spokesman told The Daily Mail that there were no other injuries reported in relation to the incident, and that when the SUV first accidentally struck the biker who stopped short, other bikers started to attack the truck, leading the driver to flee, fearing for the safety of his wife and child.

It seems pretty clear that these bikers had no consideration for anyone else on the road, and are giving good bikers a bad name.

Many in the biking community are angry at this group for making it seem like the SUV driver seemingly ran people down for no reason, while it seems fairly clear that that wasn't the case.
