I have been gathering some cool tips and trips from others since I am hosting Thanksgiving this year. Some of these are pretty awesome!

Here are some tips that I have never heard of before!

-- Instead of spending time scrubbing your potatoes before you peel them, just put them in the rack of the dishwasher and put them through a rinse cycle!

-- To keep your mashed potatoes warm before you serve them, butter up the crock pot, put some heavy cream in the bottom, and then add the mashed potatoes and keep them on the warm or low setting and stir often.

-- To moisten a too-dry turkey, drizzle with chicken broth. It will not only make it moist, but it will help bring out the flavor.

-- If you're missing your roaster rack, you can crumple up some aluminum foil into thick ropes and put it under your turkey. Or, you can create a rack out of carrots and celery!

-- To keep your gravy warm until serving, put it in a thermos!

-- Instead of buying flowers to decorate or bring as a gift, make your own centerpiece by taking a walk through the woods! Our traffic girl Nancy Reamy made the one pictured here.
