Father's Day is right around the corner and for gift buyers, it can be a challenge. Dads are hard to buy for. You can't go wrong with gifts like ties and golf balls and tools, but if you've already been down that road, you may be looking for something else.

For me it's a little easier. My Dad and I share a love for the Mets and Giants, and spend a ton of time talking sports, so there's sports memorabilia or tickets to the game. I like that stuff because it's something we can do together.

I also make it a point to write a little personal message in his card. He has always chosen his words carefully when giving me advice, so the least I can do is return the favor in his Father's Day card.

If you are stumped on what to buy for Father's Day, I found a good article at sfgate.com that might help. Good luck with your last minute shopping, and Happy Father's Day to my Dad and all the dads!!
