Dancing With the Stars Season 17 Cast List

The new cast of Dancing with the Stars hasn’t been officially announced, but among the celebs supposedly hitting the dancefloor are a TV legend, a ‘Jersey Shore’ fistpumper, and of course, a professional athlete.

TMZ reports Valerie Harper, the 74-year-old actress from ‘The Mary Tyler Moore Show,’ will appear on the new season, despite her recent announcement that she’s suffering from terminal brain cancer.

They add that Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi from MTV’s ‘Jersey Shore’, Leah Remini from ‘The King of Queens,’ Elizabeth Berkley from ‘Saved by the Bell,’ Amber Riley of ‘Glee,’ and singer Christina Milian will be named as part of the cast.

NFL player Keyshawn Johnson, formerly of the Jets, and rock spawn/reality star Jack Osbourne, son of Ozzy and Sharon, are also rumored to be joining the show.

The official cast announcement will be made on September 4th on Good Morning America, with the new season premiering on September 16th on ABC.

If this cast rumor is legit, it’s very meh.

I do love Leah Remini, and obviously Valerie Harper is a TV icon, but I’m not all that excited to see the others shake their booties.

I guess the name ‘Dancing with the D-Listers’ doesn’t have the same appeal…

I’d love to see some really big names having fun and competing for the mirror ball trophy. Imagine if Tom Hanks was battling against Pink and Lebron James? Now THAT’S a show.
