Deaf Belford Dog Needs Forever Home
Our Point Pet of the Week is a three year old Lab/Terrier mix who loves the company of humans.
The Monmouth County SPCA says Georgio is deaf but that hasn't gotten this boy down. He is learning hand signals from the shelter staff and volunteers and he has been a star student!
Georgio was surrendered from a family in Belford who felt that they couldn't give him the care he needed.
Georgio loves his toys and playing with his tennis balls in the park. He walks beautifully on leash when he goes for long walks with his human friends.
This Saturday is Clear the Shelters Day at the MCSPCA. They will offer reduced pet adoption fees as part of the nationwide Clear the Shelters initiative that seeks to help families find and adopt homeless pets. Since 2015, Clear the Shelters has resulted in more than 90,000 pet adoptions nationwide.
