Popular Monmouth Market Could Be Expanding South

Recently, we told you about the unofficial word that Shoprite of Wall is moving to the location of the old Foodtown on Route 35. That would leave the Belmar land open for something new.

The very popular Dearborn Market in Holmdel was sold to the owners of Shoprite back in the Fall of 2015. The latest rumor is that once Shoprite rebuilds and moves, that they will build a new Dearborn Market on the site of the old Shoprite in Belmar.

If this becomes a reality, it will be a welcome addition to the area. Dearborn Market is a really cool place. They have fresh produce, an award-winning garden center, and excellent prepared foods. They even do catering!
