Despite 4 points and solid all around play from world famous Globetrotter nemesis Lou Russo, Select could not overcome the mighty Harlem Globetrotters last night in front of a sold out crowd at Collins Arena in Lincroft. I always wanted a line like that written about me, and nobody else was going to do it, so I wrote it myself.

Here are the facts as they happened. I did in fact score 4 points, but only because I played in the 2nd quarter and all points were doubled in that quarter. Outside of that it was pretty ugly. I was 0 for 4 from the 3 point line, and for people that don't follow basketball, that's not good.

I was also 0 for 4 from the free throw line, and for people who don't follow basketball, that's not bad. It's horrible. But it got worse.

When I went to the foul line at one point, legendary Globetrotter Big Easy was so upset with the fact that my uniform shirt was not tucked in that he started tucking it in for me, and when he was done, he hiked my shorts right up to my armpits. You try hitting a foul shot under those circumstances.

At least I can take comfort in the fact that all of this happened in front of a sellout crowd. I was 1 for 8 from the floor and had my shorts lifted to my chest and the maximum amount of people who could physically fit into the arena saw it. Great.
