Did You Guess The Right Monmouth County Town?

We gave you a few odd, and somewhat scientific clues to try to help you identify a Monmouth County town. Were you able to get it right?

There were some area residents who knew this one in a heartbeat, but for many others, this was one of the tougher ones in our Name The Town series. Here are the clues in case you missed them.

(1) Calcium carbonate or lime-rich mud or mudstone which contains variable amounts of clays and silt. That's not a joke, it's a real clue about the town's name.

(2) The remains of prehistoric fish, clams, etc. from the period when New Jersey was part of the ocean bed. Yes, another clue about the town name.

(3) 79 and School. We'll let you figure that one out on your own.

So, if you caught on to what we were doing with the first two clues, this wound up being pretty easy for you. Clues #1 and #2 were descriptions of marl, a type of mud or dirt.

Clue #3 was a little more straightforward. It is the intersection of this town's village.
