Our Point Pet of the Week is just about a year old, and still in puppy mode. He needs a forever home. Can you take him?

Meet Bow Wow, a Rottweiler/Terrier mix brought to the Monmouth County SPCA when the owner was no longer able to keep him since the apartment didn't allow pets.

Bow Wow has a lot of energy, loves play time and is enjoying spending time with some of the other doggies waiting for their forever homes at the MCSPCA. He is great with both big and small dogs, in case you already have one or two in your home.

This precious dog is also very sweet, sometimes referred to as the 'gentle giant' since he loves to give big kisses.

Bow Wow is very smart, knows his basic commands, and will work hard for a treat. His latest trick is learning how to do a rollover. He loves learning new moves!

His last owners said he was crate trained and house trained, so adopting him will be an easy transition when you bring him into your home.

Bow Wow is staying at the Eatontown location of the SPCA at 260 Wall Street. You can meet him 7 days a week from noon - 5 pm.

And if you're looking for a fun night out this weekend, you can still pick up tickets for the annual Fur Ball to benefit the MCSPCA. It's this Saturday night, Oct. 10th, from 6 pm - 11 pm at the Ocean Place Resort and Spa in Long Branch. Raffle tickets are on sale now, too, at the MCSPCA in Eatontown.
