There is a new bill coming from Monmouth County Republican Assemblyman Declan O'Scanlon that would give you the option to pump your own gas in New Jersey.

The bill, according to nj.com, would allow you to either pump your own gas or have a n attendant do it for you. New Jersey and Oregon are the only states in The United States to have a law that doesn't allow it's residents to pump their own gas.

I know that when Diane and I drove to Key West, I kind of dreaded pulling into a gas station because it had been so long  since I pumped gas myself, I was afraid I wouldn't know how.

On the other hand, who hasn't pulled into a gas station on the way to work or during lunch hour, when every minute is critical, and there isn't an attendant to be found. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to get things started on your own?
