Local business Sounds To Go DJs and non-profit Move For Hunger are collecting and distributing relief to Hurricane Sandy victims and coastal towns in need.

All residents of surrounding towns are encouraged to donate clothing, cleaning supplies, and non-perishable food items to red Restaurant and Lounge at 3 Broad St. in Red Bank beginning at 4 p.m. today. They will host a donation drive with a $5 food menu, happy hour drink specials, and a DJ spinning until close for those who donate.

Donations are also being accepted at 21 East Front Street in Red Bank through the weekend. Permanent drop-off locations will be announced after Sunday, November 4.

“With the compounded issues of gas and water shortages, and a possible NorEaster next week, it is vital we band together as a community right now”, says Ashley George of Move For Hunger. “We’re depending on the whole community to help neighbors in need.”
