The 39-year-old victim was found in the area of Route 88 at Jack Martin Boulevard on August 5, police said.

He told police that he and his family, in a black Jeep Wrangler, and the occupants of a dark Acura with tinted windows and New York registration, were westbound on Route 88 in Point Pleasant, heading for Brick.

The Acura driver began driving aggressively, yelling at him and his family, until they reached the Barb Lane intersection, police said.

Both drivers left their cars and a fight ensued, police said. Soon afterward, two passengers in the Acura got involved. The  Jeep driver was stabbed with what he described as a small knife, incurring head and elbow lacerations.

The Acura took off in the direction of Route 70, police said. The Jeep driver was treated at Ocean Medical Center.

Brick Township Detectives Tim McCarthy and Mark Byrne seek your help in identifying the two men and one woman in the Acura. They're described as black, wearing light-colored shirts at the time.
