DWI Checkpoints in Oceanport, Marlboro This Weekend

Another reminder not to drink and drive this weekend...and to stop all those other unsafe driving habits too.

The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will hold two checkpoints in our area.

The first is tonight in Oceanport from 11 p.m. Friday, July 10 until 3 a.m. Saturday, July 11 drivers traveling northbound on Oceanport Ave. will have to pull into an old Fort Monmouth parking lot.

The second checkpoint takes place tomorrow night in Marlboro from 11 p.m. Saturday, July 11 until 3 a.m. Sunday, July 12. Drivers on Rt. 9 north, just north of Rt. 520/Newman Springs Rd. will pull into the New York Sports Club parking lot.

Keep in mind that officers are not just looking for those under the influence, but also those using their phones while driving, not wearing seatbelts, with broken tail lights, etc.
