How sad it is when people are too busy for their own pets.

Meet Coqui, our Point Pet of the Week from the Monmouth County SPCA. This 7-year old is a sweetheart.

Just last year, a family adopted Coqui from the MCSPCA. But now she is back in the shelter because the family that took her home no longer has time for her.

This beautiful dog looks like she has Coonhound, Rottie, or Dobie in her. She is gorgeous. Originally from a warm region of Puerto Rico, Coqui won the hearts of the rescuers before being brought to the MCSPCA.

Coqui can be a little shy at first and prefers quieter settings where she can truly relax. She loves to play and enjoys a good game of fetch with tennis balls or squeaky toys. She especially loves it when her volunteer human friends take her on a road trip. She really appreciates all the attention she gets.

If you would like to meet Coqui, she is at the Eatontown location at the MCSPCA. They are open 7 days a week from Noon - 5 pm. For more info, call 732-542-4552 or email adoptions@monmouthcountyspca.org. Don't pass up the chance to meet this sweet girl!

Also, the MCSPCA wants to thank you for helping raise so much money at their annual Dog Walk and Pet Fair at Brookdale. They raised, with your generosity, $139,000 to benefit the homeless animals!
