When they handed out the Emmy statues last night, at least one went into the hands of a celebrity from New Jersey.

Peter Dinklage, the longtime star of the mega-hit "Game of Thrones", walked away with the Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series trophy.  Game of Thrones was also named Best Drama Series.

Dinklage, who portrays Tyrion Lannister in HBO's massive hit, was born in Morristown and last night's win is his third Emmy in the same category. He also won the honor in 2011 and 2015.

He also won a 2012 Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for his work on "Game of Thrones".

So, congratulations to all the winners and thanks to Peter Dinklage for his amazing job of portraying one of the great characters on one of TV's best shows. Peter Dinklage makes New Jersey proud!
