Anyone who knows me knows I don't wear makeup most of the time, especially in the summer. I go barefaced 90% of the time, save for the occasional dab of tinted moisturizer or a swipe of mascara.

Over the weekend though, I felt the urge to pretty my pout, so I reached into my bag for one of the many lip products I somehow collect and rarely use...and now I'm really regretting it.

This go around, I grabbed a simple flavored lip balm, and headed out.

I applied it Saturday, around noon-ish. Saturday night, the corners of my mouth felt like they had little cuts, and my lips were feeling especially dry and chapped, but I didn't really think anything of it.

By Sunday, my lips just felt...weird, and started to notice weird little bumps on them, about the size of a head of a pin.

I don't have any known food allergies, and the rest of my skin seemed fine, and it occurred to me that I'd used that lip balm.

It was eos lip balm(you know, the egg-shaped one that everyone impulse buys) in a pink tub -- I believe the flavor was Summer Fruit. I'd used it plenty of times before, never with any problems...but for whatever reason, this time around, I seem to be having some kind of bad reaction to it.

I decided to Google it, to see if anyone else had experienced anything similar, and lo and behold, I'm far from the only one!

I have no idea what caused the reaction, or why I never had a problem before and did this time, but I do know I immediately threw it away, and won't be buying it again.

I'm hoping my lips will heal over the next few days, and when it comes to lip balms, I'll likely be sticking with my tried-and-true favorite!

Have you ever had an issue with eos - or any other lip product?
