Espresso Martini – Absolut Summer Cocktail of the Week

On a hot day, I love sipping on a giant iced coffee to cool me down.

This week's cocktail combines some of my favorite ingredients to make one perfect drink.

Now, on to the good stuff.

Ingredients:

• 1.5 oz. Absolut vodka
• .75 oz. coffee liqueur (like Kahlua)
• .75 cold espresso (Yes, there is a difference between coffee and espresso.)
• .75 Tbls. simple syrup

Shake all ingredients over ice and strain into a cocktail glass.

There are plenty of ways to switch this up to suit your tastes:

Use more or less simple syrup depending on how sweet you want the drink.
Use a flavored vodka like Absolut Vanilla or Absolut Citron.
Add a bit of cream to make it...creamier.
