Expressing Gratitude

As we get ready to celebrate a new year, let me get one more thank you out to a man who has supported us since we began our morning show. Photographer Gary Gellman.

Soon after Lou and I began our morning show 14 or so years ago, Gary Gellman of Gellman Images took our first publicity photos.

That was the start of a great friendship. Gary Gellman (aka "Photographer to the Stars" as we refer to him on our show each time he's on) has been with us at many of our most important events. He has done billboard photos for us, we were just on the jumbo-tron in Freehold Raceway Mall thanks to an awesome Gellman Images photo, and every autographed picture we give to our listeners comes from a Gellman Image. He's also an amazing videographer and has recorded some really stupendous moments...both in our studio and at other incredible events in our area.

I have had the pleasure of being backstage with Gary at some giant, celebrity-filled events where he has captured images that have been used worldwide of celebrities from Bruce Springsteen to Jon Bon Jovi, from Danny DeVito to Queen Latifah.

Gellman has photographed big-name politicians, supermodels, and even THE POPE earlier this year, gaining clearance as one of only two photographers to be chosen to be on the tarmac when the Pope landed and capturing a certain photo of the Pope kissing a boy in a wheelchair that has been seen around the world!

But, most of all, I want to thank Gary for all of the times he has put up with me each time he is shooting photos or videos of us. I realize that I can be a bit high-maintenance and 'girly-girly' about my hair, makeup, and the way I pose, and Gary is frequently having to deal with my 'team' of hair, makeup, and wardrobe people, lol,....yet he knows JUST how to handle me so that he gets the perfect picture. Because I TRUST him to get the right shot.

He is able to put up with Lou's antics on the air, too, and rolls with the punches whenever we invite him into our studio to come on the morning show with us.

He is such a good sport, and runs an amazing photography business as well as a local TV talk show. And I can also tell you that he is supported by an amazing wife, Claire, and four beautiful, smart, talented, and amazing daughters.

So, Gary, here's to many more years of working with you -- of looking out into the crowd and always seeing you and your camera at the ready.
