Eddie Murphy has pulled out as host of the 2012 Oscars, and if one Facebook campaign has anything to do with it, this year’s hosts will be some very famous puppets.

Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, and the whole cast of the Muppets are being offered up as possible replacements to host Hollywood’s Biggest Night in February.

Awards shows, for the most part, are incredibly dull, and if there’s one thing that could make them enjoyable to watch, it would be Statler and Waldorf heckling our favorite stars from the balcony.

The possibilities are endless. The campaign is currently 26,000 members strong and growing…check it out here.
