Farmingdale Teen Dies From Injuries In Accident

An 18-year-old from Farmingdale has died from injuries sustained in an accident in Howell on Thursday.

Jeffrey Smith was injured when the Toyota Corolla he was driving crossed the center line on Herbertsville Road near Circle A Farm according to the Howell Patch, colliding with a 2001 Honda driven by 74-year-old Nicholas Spinelli of Freehold.

Howell Police tell the Howell Patch that  Smith suffered "serious head injuries" after being trapped in his car.  He was flow to Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Spinelli and his wife Concetta sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
