The devastation of Hurricane Florence has been hard to put into words, and although the Jersey Shore has been fortunate to miss a vast majority of it, Florence will have some minor impact on our area.

The majority of the remnants of Florence will pass west and north of our area, but we will see some rain tonight (Monday) through tomorrow, according to our Meteorologist Dan Zarrow.

The rain will be nothing in comparison to what the Carolinas have been through, but we could see up to 2 inches of rain in areas that get the worst downpours. Most of us will see between 1/2 of an inch to an inch of rain.

Dan says we'll dry out by Wednesday. You can always get the latest on our Garden State weather with Dan Zarrow's weather blogs.

There has been so much devastation associated with Florence, and for so many at the Jersey Shore, it brings back dark memories of Sandy, and it has us wanting to do what we can to help.

One way to do that is to make a donation to the American Red Cross.
