The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties is always hard at work providing food to area residents, and this summer is no exception.

The FoodBank participates in the Summer Food Services Program, which is providing up to two meals a day to children in our area, according to the FoodBank website. Executive Director Carlos Rodriguez says nutrition has a "direct impact on their ability to develop and learn" and that many families struggle to make sure their kids have enough to eat during the summer months.

As part of the program, the FoodBank provides about 1,200 prepared meals to 14 sites like day care centers and camps, and the y also oversee the distribution and delivery, according to the article.

Please help the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties continue to do their important work by making a donation or by volunteering. Get all the details at the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties website.
