When the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties asked me to fill in for my good friend Big Joe Henry as master of ceremonies for their Humanitarian Gala, May 4th at Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club in Farmingdale, I was thrilled. I know how committed Joe is to that great organization, and I am as well.

The Foodbank does so much good for families in Monmouth and Ocean counties, and they tell us that the need now is extremely high. If you can make it out to the Gala, that would be great, and even if you can't, get in touch with them to find out what you can do to help our neighbors who find themselves in need of some assistance.

I know Big Joe wishes he could make it, so I am going to make sure he has some presence at the Gala. I figured his shoes are too big to fill, so I thought I would wear the official Big Joe tuxedo jacket all night. Turns out that's too big to fill as well, but I'm going to do it anyway!
