As Thanksgiving approaches, we are reminded of the incredible number of people that need our assistance this holiday season.

Our area has been through so much in the past year or so and our communities have proven time and time again that we are there for our neighbors in need and our help is desperately needed now.

The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties distributed a record 8.5 million pounds of food last year, and this year's need is desperate as well. With Thanksgiving just days away, they items needed most include fresh or frozen turkeys (turkey breasts are preferred), Thanksgiving side dishes such as gravy, potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing mixes and canned fruit.

There are dozens of drop off sites throughout Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Just check the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties website for location nearest to you. Thanks for your help!
