Residents in Ocean County are invited to a free rabies clinic being hosted by The Toms River Animal Facility from 10 am until 12 pm on January 14, 2017.

The facility is located at 235 Oak Avenue in proximity to the Toms River Police Headquarters.

Officials helping to host the clinic ask any resident attending with their pet to bring proof of prior immunization, if possible as well as any records of your pet being spayed or neutered.

If you can't attend the free clinic in Toms River on January 14, there are other such events being held in Ocean County.

If your a dog owner in Toms River, officials want you to know licenses by law must be renewed in January as well.

The dog license must have an expiration date of November 1, 2017.

All pet licenses can be renewed in person at the Toms River Health Department on Washington Street, and any resident looking for additional information may visit www.tomsrivertownship.com or call (732) 341-1000 extension 8400.
