Free Tax Prep For Those Qualified Through VITA Program

Qualified area residents can get free tax preparation and the FoodBank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties can help you get all the details.

According to the FoodBank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties website, the VITA program is sponsored by the IRS to assist "low and middle-income workers have their federal and State personal income taxes prepared and filed electronically at no cost".

Who's qualified? Households with children with annual incomes of $54,000 or less or individuals with incomes of $30,000 or less are qualified. There is complete information about this program and locations available at the FoodBank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties website.
