Friends Come Together To Help an Ocean County Teenager

A special event will take place in Brick in September to help raise money for 18 year old Billy Gross from Barnegat who is suffering from stage 4 cancer.

Marissa wrote to us:

"Billy is my best friend's 18 year old son who was diagnosed last year with synovial sarcoma. The cancer has spread to his lungs. Billy is beyond amazing and always has a smile on his face. You will be inspired from the moment you meet him. His mom (who is the most amazing woman ever) has been raising Billy and his younger sister on her own since this journey has begun and the bills are adding up."

Although they have received some help from Oceans of Love, Marissa is doing her part by holding an event called 'Billy's Believers' on Sunday, September 9th, noon - 4 p.m. at Standing Ovation Dance Studio on Mantoloking Road in Brick. Look for The Point Van along with a 2-hour Zumbathon, face painting, a game truck, a glam truck, a 60 ft. adult bounce house obstacle course, a baby bounce house, Jersey Mike's, and ice cream truck, and a big gift auction.
