Children don't care if it's 20 degrees outside...if you surprise them with an icy treat they'll look as happy as this kid! And what better way to justify it than helping kids with cancer!

The last place I thought about going on an ice cold February day was to get a sundae, but my son had been asking and asking to go to his favorite frozen yogurt place.

He and his friend (Jack Hamilton, pictured) were THRILLED when I pulled up to surprise them....all the while telling myself that the place probably wouldn't even be open on such a frigid, windy day.

But sometimes it's just the deliciousness (is that a word?) and the surprise of an unexpected treat that can get a child in a happy mood, even if they get back in the car shivering, lol!

And while we were there we found out that they are helping to raise money for Squan-A-Thon TODAY (Feb. 6th) from 4 p.m. - 10 p.m. So if you want to support a great cause -- KIDS WITH CANCER! -- head to OMG in Sea Girt, across from Brook 35.

(And, for you moms out there that are thinking about healthy eating, this place has certified organic frozen yogurt with no sugar added and all-natural choices.)
