Gas Prices Rising at the Jersey Shore
I paid $1.99 a gallon for gas in Middletown this morning, but unfortunately, it looks like the days of gas prices under two bucks are over.
NJ.com reports that it's 'the start of refinery maintenance season,' which means a decrease in fuel production...which leads to higher prices at the pump. Additionally, crude oil prices have risen, which means our days of filling up the car for less than $20 are probably over.
I commute about 65 miles round trip everyday, so the cheap gas prices were a HUGE help for me. It's amazing how much that little bit of extra money can help!
As for now I'll keep using the GasBuddy app to find the cheapest stations around! I hear Costco in Brick is going for $1.95 a gallon, and Costco in Marlboro is at $1.97! Enjoy it while it lasts!
