Gee Gee’s at the Beach in Manasquan Continues to Rebuild

It's nothing short of one of the greatest summer traditions for many families who visit Manasquan beach summer after summer. We are sad that Gee Gee's was so badly damaged by the hurricane, It WILL be back...but more than likely not in time for this summer.

Workers are putting in long hours rebuilding the area surrounding Gee Gee's arcade and pizzeria, and the whole area is surrounded by a chain link fence, but the landmark at the corner of First Ave and East Main continues to be boarded up with plywood after the surge of the hurricane took down its walls and threw around its kitchen and pieces of the arcade.

The corner side saw the most damage and the work it will take to reconstruct means it is not expected to be open this summer. The management of Gee Gee's says there are plans to serve pizzas in another building next to it this season and have Gee Gee's restored in 2014.
