This Sunday night you may get to see a "super blood moon". So, what is that, and how rare is it to see one?

The super blood moon happens when the Earth, Sun and a large, bright moon line up, according to yahoo.com. The moon will be at it's closest point to the Earth, and also be at it's brightest, meaning the 14% brighter and 30% bigger than it would when it is at it's farthest point from the Earth.

So how rare is all of this? Well, the last one was in 1982, and there have only been 5 super blood moons since 1900. if you miss this one, you'll have to wait until 2033 to see the next one. So, pretty rare.

And it looks like we are in an area of the world that will give us a good look at this rare phenomenon, according to space.com.

The Super Blood Moon has caused concern with some people who believe the phenomenon raises doomsday fears.

The Super Blood Moon will be visible in our area on Sunday evening, and we'll be able to see the whole thing, which is expected to last 1 hour and 12 minutes, according to timeanddate.com.
