This very special boy, Jake the Tank, lost his life but ultimately may help find a cure for other children with brain cancer. Here are the locations of Frutta Bowls helping to raise money this Saturday.

We had the honor of having Mike Honig, Jake's dad, stop by our Asbury Boardwalk studio last Friday to talk to our listeners about how Jake's short life will be having such a positive impact on the world.

Jake fought like a hero to stay alive as long as he could, and then his parents gave the ultimate gift to help save the lives of others. They donated Jake's brain and spine for research and to come up with cures for pediatric brain cancer.

The money raised from events like this one will go COMPLETELY AND DIRECTLY into the hands of the researchers/scientists/doctors who are working on cures.

So please get to Frutta Bowl locations in Howell, Freehold, Marlboro and Colts next from open 'til close, this Saturday, June 23rd, and 30% of all sales will be donated to Jake Honig's memorial fund. 100% of the funds raised go to brain cancer research to study Jake's tumors.

And, for an extra $5 donation, you'll get a Jake the Tank koozie courtesy of Big Frog in Howell.

If you can't make it to Frutta Bowls but would like to make a donation directly to this worthy cause, Mike Honig says you can send a check to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, ATTN: JOSH WALKER, PO Box 781352, Philadelphia, PA 19178-1352 and Josh will ensure the funds go to the right place.

Little Jake's life is having such an impact on lives everywhere, including the governor working on a law to make medical marijuana more easily accessible to those suffering from chemo treatments and the like. To read more about Jake's story, CLICK HERE.
