I was one of the lucky people that once got to go in the Harbor Seal tank at Jenkinson's Aquarium where I fell in love with Coral. It's a sad day that she is gone.

Coral has entertained visitors for more than 20 years and was 23 years old.

She had a bloody nose on Saturday, which isn't uncommon when seals shed their fur. But when the bleeding didn't stop, a vet was called. But Coral didn't recover and died.

The aquarium director, Cindy Claus, says test results could take weeks to determine the exact cause of her death.

Everyone  who knew Coral is so sad because that seal was like a family member. Her death has been very hard on the staff.

Coral and her sister Seaquin came to the aquarium on the Point Beach boardwalk in 1992 as companions for another Harbor Seal, Luseal.

Seaquin and Luseal are still there.

We will miss you, Coral.
