As pretty as the snow pictures look, and as much as the kids enjoy a good snow day, let's  welcome the warm weather and forget about that long, cold winter.

Was there anything you appreciated about this past winter? Sure snow looks pretty if you are safe and sound in your home with all the supplies you need and you don't have to drive in it or shovel it.

Many of us suffered through frozen pipes, heating issues, and no four-wheel driive, giant vehicles that could tackle the roads in the snow.

Many of us had to scramble to find arrangements for kids who had delayed openings, early dismissals, or no school at all because of the snow and ice.

Speaking of ice, some of us took some slippery falls and bruised sensitive and necessary body parts.

For those parents and kids who love to ski, build snowmen and ice forts, throw snowballs, go sledding, and make snow angels, there is nothing like experiencing that joy with your kids. My boys had the whole beach to themselves and had a blast running around in the snow. And they are good at shoveling, and even made a few bucks from doing that.

But after bundling up in blankets, snow boots, and scarves (and that was just INSIDE the house) I finally got my shoulders peeled off my ears yesterday when I realized I didn't have to cringe from the cold. What a gorgeous day it was...with more of that mild, warm weather coming up!

Ten days 'til Spring!
