You know the coolest thing to me about the Asbury Park RunAPalooza Saturday? I love the fact that everybody there had their own reasons to be there, their own definition of victory and everyone could celebrate their own success. Just being out there and participating was a big win for everyone.

For my wife Diane, it was beating her last half marathon time. It was her second half marathon, and she only starting running in June...pretty amazing. She did it, beating her last time by nearly 10 minutes.

For me, victory was getting her there on time for the race, dropping her off and getting back to McDonalds while breakfast was still being served, and returning to find an awesome parking spot before she reached the finish line. I did it with 30 minutes to spare. It was a day of victory for both of us.
