Great Tribute To Mariano Rivera At All Star Game

Even a Mets fan can appreciate the amazing career of Mariano Rivera and plenty of Mets, Yankees and baseball fans in general showed him their appreciation at the All Star game.

As a Mets fan, I want to say that Mariano is the greatest player at his position ever and a great ambassador for his team and his sport. I also felt very proud that a piece of Mariano history happened at CitiField.

I thought the moment when all the fans and both teams gave Mariano a standing ovation was one of the most memorable baseball moments I can remember and it's a moment he truly deserved.

But the thing I'm most thankful for is that he spent his years in the American League so Mets fans like me didn't have to watch our team face him that often.
