You're invited to "Raise the Roof", a benefit concert to help build a new home for a family in need.

Raise The Roof will feature musicians including The Eddie Testa Band, Tony Santoriello & Step Aside, Jim Arcoleo & Gene Walk, Junction 13, and The Acoustic Beatles. The concert is Saturday, January 17th, 6 - 10 pm, in the St. Rose Auditorium in Freehold. Food & beverages will be sold by the Knights of Columbus. Tickets are $10 at the door. For more info or to make a donation, call 732-513-9073. Proceeds will benefit the Freehold Habitat House.

The newest Freehold Habitat for Humanity House is a joint project, with two local congregations coming together to make this happen: St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Freehold, and the Colts Neck Reformed Church. The volunteer members of both churches are holding fundraisers such as this one and a future Buy-a-Roof Shingle campaign, that will go into a general fund for the house. Volunteers from both churches will physically build the house.

The house will be built at 108 Center Street in Freehold Borough. The start of the blitz-build will be on Monday, April 27th and for two weeks they will work on the house daily. After that they will work on it a day a week until it is finished. Volunteers are welcome! To lend your assistance, contact James Wishbow (the General Contractor) at (908) 770-9148 or email him jpwishbow@gmail.com.

As of this time, Habitat for Humanity Monmouth County is still in the family selection process.
