Happy Birthday To Asbury Park’s Paramount Theater

This week marked a very special birthday, or to be more specific, a very special anniversary in Asbury Park.

This past Tuesday, June 11th marked exactly 87 years since the grand opening of the Paramount Theater, according to cinematreasures.org. The theater's grand opening took place on July 11,1930.

The Paramount Theater has been such a huge part of the entertainment scene over the years and just the thought that literally feet from where we broadcast our summer Friday morning shows, there was a star studded grand opening all those years ago is amazing.

To me, it is wonderful to be here at the boardwalk overlooking these amazing buildings and wishing I could hit a big rewind button and go back nearly 80 years just to know what it was like to be here at that time.
