Have You Ever Found a Sand Dollar?

I have lived here at the Jersey Shore almost forever...I have walked and run the beach hundreds and hundreds of times...and have NEVER spotted a sand dollar. What's your secret for finding one?

A listener stopped by our Asbury Park live morning show last Friday and was on her way to collect sand dollars in Bradley Beach.

Sand dollars... as in plural.

Yet I have never even spotted ONE on any beach in Monmouth or Ocean county.

So this listener (Iris) gave me some advice for tracking down sand dollars: She says I have to hang out near the jetties and tidal pools and THEN I will spot them.
